Frequently Asked Questions

Pressure washing or power washing is the use of high-pressure (1500psi+) water spray to remove loose paint, mold, grime, dust, mud, chewing gum and dirt from surfaces and objects such as buildings, vehicles and concrete surfaces. A soft wash incorporates special low-pressure (-1000psi) nozzles on the end of a pressure washing gun or wand. That’s combined with a biodegradable chemical that removes the biological elements (mold, algae, pollen, dirt, moss) and other stains without damaging surfaces on your home or killing your plants.

We rely on the use of specialty cleaning chemicals to safely and effectively clean. Our experience and equipment allows us to use just the right amount of detergents, reducing the overall chemical usage for the job.  This method is safer for the environment and landscaping.  By carefully saturating all near vegetation before, during and after the cleaning process, any chemical run off is diluted to safe levels.  We typically cover any shrubs, trees, roses or other delicate plants with plastic sheeting to ensure they are not affected by our process.

This is a method where we rely on the use of specialty cleaning chemicals and very low pressure to safely and effectively clean your roof without damaging and losing the manufactures warranty.

The main bacteria causing these “black-streaks” on roofs is called Gloeocapsa Magma, this bacteria as well as other algae, molds, fungus and lichen are one of the many causes of roofing material breakdown and decomposition. The lichen has a filament root system that will grow down into an asphalt shingle to feed and ultimately pull the aggregate granule layer off exposing the asphalt layer starting a rapid deterioration.

Did you know that most pressure washing companies in our area clean their customers’ homes at pressure levels much higher than is required? At Power Cleaning Elites, we know that it does not take 4000 psi to remove dirt and mildew from houses. In fact, such high-pressure streams of water can cause severe damage to your home. We understand that almost any surface can be properly cleaned with just the right amount of low pressure.
